Juve and AC Milan were under fire as the Bianconeri only managed two wins out of 12 league outings before Saturday, while the Rossoneri's defeat in Milan Derby saw their city-rivals Inter Milan mathematically seal the 20th Serie A tile with five rounds to spare.

Juve were more aggressive in the first-half as Dusan Vlahovic's free kick was denied by Sportiello in the 45th minute.

The home side kept pressure after the break, forcing Sportiello to make a double-save to parry away Filip Kostic and Danilo's strikes.

Arkadiusz Milik had the chance to complete the last-gasp winner, but his header in the 87th minute was inches wide of the post.

The goalless tie still saw AC Milan rank second with 70 points, five points ahead of Juve.

Elsewhere, Lazio registered the fourth consecutive win on fronts by beating Hellas Verona 1-0 thanks to Mattia Zaccagni's winner, while Lecce shared the spoils with Monza at 1-1.
